Funtown Splashtown USA has been around in Saco in some incarnation for nearly fifty years. It began as a diner and a mini-golf course, but quickly began to expand. Now it is one of the premier amusement parks in the nation.

There is something at Funtown Splashtown USA that every member of the family can enjoy, from great shopping and sights to some of the most impressive and adrenaline-pumping thrill rides in the nation. The theme park houses Excalibur, the only wooden roller coaster in Maine, as well as Dragon’s Descent, the largest vertical thrill ride in Northern New England. Another one of the most popular thrill rides in the park is the longest and tallest log flume in New England, the infamous Thunder Falls. This is only a tiny sampling of all the great thrill rides you will find at the park.

If these tall thrill rides are a little too fast for you, or if you have some young children in your group, there is no need to worry. There are plenty of rides for the family and the little ones. You will also find quite a few places to do some shopping and pick up some souvenirs, as well as grab a bite to eat. There is also a new arcade to keep you buys during some of the downtime between rides.

The water park is a great place to cool off during the hot summer months, and boasts a number of huge slides such as the Mammoth and Tornado. The Fun Lagoon is a good place to bring the kids to play in the water, especially those who are too young for some of the slides.
